Visit Hollyhock Alpaca Shoppe

When you're in the area, stop by and do a little shopping. Hollyhock Alpaca Shoppe is part of our home. If I'm home, we're open! Shop without crowds, get unique gifts, very personalized attention, and hug an alpaca. Now THAT is the way to shop! For directions, see our Contact Us Page.

Visit me at the Elk River Farmer's Market

I'll be showing off my alpaca wares at the Elk River Farmer's Market in Elk River, MN. The new location is the Westbound Liquor Store on Hwy 10 on the west side of town. Look for the row of canopies!
I plan to be there every Thursday afternoon from 3 - 7 PM from June 24 until September 30. I will have everything alpaca related --- raw fiber, roving, handspun yarn, hand dyed yarn, hand knit and woven hats, scarves, hand bags, baby blankets and lots more. New this year will be bird nesting material from alpaca fiber and scrap yarn. I hope you can stop by to support your local farmers and 'go green' with natural and local produce.
And, Yes, I'll be baking the Amish Cinnamon Bread again. Be sure to get there early, as I usually sell out each week!

Braham Pie Day     Friday, August 6

You CAN go home - or at least I can! I graduated from Braham many years ago, so this festival is a reunion of sorts for me. Click here for their website. Come to Braham, enjoy great entertainment, shop the art & craft sale, and definately eat a slice of homemade pie.

Farm Tour 2010     September 25-26

The Upper Midwest Farm Tour will be here before you know it! If you haven't visited us during Farm Tour, you need to make plans to do so this year. If you can't join us during Farm Tour, just give us a call (or email) and stop by any time. New in 2010, we hope to have a local pumpkin grower with pumpkins for our visitors to decorate. As before, we'll have fiber projects for kids to do, spinning demonstration, lots of new things to see in the shop (including honey and jelly) treats to feed the alpacas and fun for the whole family.

UMA Fall Fiber Festival     Saturday, November 6

Upper Midwest Alpacas will again be sponsoring the Fall Fiber Festival. It will be at the Eisenhower Community Center in Hopkins frpm 9 AM to 4 PM. All fiber and fiber products will be made from North American fiber. It is another chance to support the local fiber producers.

If you belong to a group that would like to spend some time at Hollyhock Farm please email me. I can tailor the day for toddlers, school-aged students, or adults.
