Name: Beckie JoARI#: 1361094 Birthdate: July 16, 2005 Parents: Katie Jo and Senor Cote D'or Namesake: Beckie was named by the folks who purchased her. The day of Beckie Jo's birth was extremely hot. I knew Katie was in labor that morning. I ran water in the paddock area to create cooling pools. About noon, Katie was lying in a water puddle and I saw the cria's nose and feet. I held the cria's head out of the mud until Katie moved to a drier area. Within 15 minutes she was born. She dried quickly and was soon on her feet. Beckie was sold soon after her birth, but stayed with us until October of 2005. We enjoyed getting to know her before her move to Florida. |
